My Top 10 Irish Gifts

I’ve spent a lot of time researching for this blog post as I am very conscious this time of the year can often result in over-consumerism and many brands pushing the latest fashion fix. Therefore, I really wanted to limit this list to exactly the type of gift that I would genuinely love to receive, while also supporting Irish businesses. I haven’t included any clothes in this post as I think buying clothes as gifts is usually risky business (unless you are a stylist of course ;)) This post is free from any type of paid promotion or complimentary gifts.

Lola Donoghue Prints

My husband bought me a Lola print for our anniversary last year and I have to admit it’s definitely one that he got right (no pressure for this year Colin ;)). I actually found myself buying furniture to match the print although I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be the other way around!

Domino Whisker Embroidery

I initially spotted these in Brown Thomas two years ago and I have been thinking about them since. It’s difficult to choose one as my favourite as I love them all. How beautiful would this look on a gallery wall?

Foxford Bed Linen

One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was “Invest in good shoes and good bed linen because when you aren’t in one you are in the other”

These bed sheets are the ultimate luxury. I have owned several sets over the years and they been such a good investment. They wash well and are easy to Iron and even make you want to dress your bed perfectly every morning ;)

Kinvara Skin Care

These products always get amazing reviews. I love the fact that not only are they clean (zero chemicals), they are also effective. Their Rose Hip Serum is my favourite, but this gift set is good value if you want to try a few of their products.

Siobhan McNutt Prints

I’m very proud to say Siobhan is one of my best friends! She had her first exhibition last month and it was a sell out. Even if you don’t have any connection with Galway I assure you, you will love these prints.

The Tweed Project

I bought one of these scarfs last Christmas as a treat to myself. It is an investment piece and it definitely one of my favourite accessories I have ever owned. I can’t wait to wear it when the weather gets colder here.

Cloon Keen Candles

This product has been my go-to Christmas gift. I love everything about this brand, the owner (super stylish), the shop, the packaging and the scent of course. They sell in some of the top luxury retailers around the world.

The Ethical Silk Company

This is the perfect gift for curly heads! Unlike cotton, silk does not draw moisture away from your skin and hair. Instead it promotes a proper moisture balance and allows any face creams to be absorbed into your skin rather than into your pillow. Can someone please get me this for Christmas !!

Lovern Leather Barrel Bag

I only came across this brand recently. I love the unusual shape and colour of this bag. I could definitely imagine getting my 30 wears out of this one!
