I hope you all got over the early January blues. I decided to share one of my workwear outfits with you after receiving a few queries about what to wear to work. This is an example of an outfit I might wear when meeting a client for the first time for a consultation. I always carry a large bag as I need to bring my iPad, consultation forms and diary with me. The shoes are an ideal height for work as they are not too high and don't look like you are trying too hard. I love wearing cigarette trousers, especially the cropped ones. One bit of advice I'd give on wearing these trousers is to be careful on what length you choose. If your ankles are not your best feature I would recommend going for the full length trousers. However, the bad news is I think for these trousers to look their best they must be worn with a high heel. Depending on the work environment some people might like to wear the trousers with a blazer. I find some blazers to be quite restrictive, so I generally opt for a silk blouse or tee. I have finished the look with an oversized orange coat from RiverIsland, I think it makes a bold fashion statement, especially during the dark winter months. The disadvantage of these "statement coats" that are "in" at the moment is that they are very memorable, so be warned, you won't get away with too many consecutive wears!!!
Have a good week and keep the questions coming in!
