I was so thrilled to see we had made the cover of the Irish Examiner magazine with this shoot. It was a great shoot to style as the theme was Ethical Fashion. Initially, if I'm honest, I thought it might be difficult to source pieces that were both on trend and ethical. However, when I did my research I found that there were many options to choose from, such as Ada Zanditon, People Tree, Edun, We are Islanders, any many more. It also gave me much more of an awareness of how clothes are made and the negative repercussions it can have. It is an area of fashion that I found very interesting and would love to work more with these ethical labels in the future.
Have you ever come across any interesting ethical labels? Do you feel that it's something that weighs heavily on peoples consciousness or are we more concerned with getting a quick fashion fix? Let me know your thoughts!
What made this shoot most enjoyable was working with such a great team, which included photographer Saibh Egan, hairstylist Helen Kenny and makeup artist Flora.
Next week I will share another shoot I styled for the Irish Examiner on the best of Irish Designers, which was published earlier this Spring!
Enjoy the sunshine.
