Hi all! As part of my new blog I decided to do a weekly personal style post to give you an insight into my own style. For my first outfit post I decided to go with an autumnal look that has worked well for numerous occasions from weekend wear to workwear. The coat was one of my first Kooples purchases and I have worn it to death! The length of the coat requires a little bit of height so I generally team it with my Topshop tan boots. The boots are one of those items that when buying them you don't realise how much you'll end up loving them! The heel height and width are perfect, you could easily wear them for a long day's shopping or a day out on the town! With this style of a coat I think the neckline goes well with shirts. Personally, I like to button up the shirt, but this doesn't work well with all sizes; for bigger busts I would generally suggest leaving it open or wear a lower neck line. I love the layered look so I often wear my coat sleeves pushed up - I think it adds it a touch of chic! I would even recommend altering the sleeve to three quarter length for the smaller client! I picked up this scarf in Beyond Retro in London while visiting my cousin Andrew. If you are into vintage clothes, it's certainly worth checking out! Personally I'm not the biggest fan of wearing patterns but I think it works with the coat.
Thanks for taking the time out to read my first personal style post. I hope you enjoyed it! I would love your feedback so please feel free to comment below.
